EPICo Core Group members held three presentations at the recent Print Archive Network (PAN) Midwinter forum.
- Sandra Bracegirdle from The University of Manchester Library gave a presentation on the UK Print Book Collection (UK PBC). It is a collaboration between academic libraries in the UK to retain book collections up to a minimum of 7 copies.
- Unni Knutsen from Oslo University Library presented on the BOTT collaboration in Norway. It is a collaboration between the university libraries in Bergen, Oslo, Trondheim and Tromsö to retain non-Norwegian books and academic journals.
- Karin Byström from Uppsala University Library gave a brief update on the EPICo network, the work in the Special Interest Groups and the upcoming conference.
The PAN Forum is a North American network for shared print, and in the last few years EPICo has had the opportunity to present one or two projects at the Midwinter event. The presentations have been really well received in the past and have also opened doors for new collaborations, e.g. regarding metadata.
